Today's Cleaning Challenge - Bookshelf

Today, let's take some time to clean through our bookshelves.
Keep what you want, but if it seems like they're overrunning maybe it's
time to go through them. Afterwords, swap them or donate them to a library,
hospital or goodwill.

Organize Now Starts Sunday!

I bought this book, Organize Now from Amazon a while ago, but haven't done nothing yet. So, starting Sunday, July 5th, I will be starting my Week 1 goals. I've been putting this off for way to long now. I encourage anyone else who has been dealing with clutter and a messy home to try this book as well. It is very informative! I also believe it will get me on to my feet and start changing the ways I've been living. You can get a copy at Amazon as well. Join me on this quest of a cleaner, healthier home. You can join in whenever. Start on Week 1 and follow along with me. We can support each other.

Organizing My Security Chest

Today's organizing tip was about our security chests. You can read that post here. Anyway, I just did so. Our security chest didn't really protect anything. Now, it's not the chests fault, it's ahem, our fault. We didn't neatly put our important documents in it. As you can see it's not shut tight and there is some paper hanging out the sides. Not Good!

Then I openned the chest & whoa, what a mess! I pulled everything out and went through every piece of paper. I then realize that not all our birth certificates are in there. So I'll be looking around for the rest of them. After about 10 minutes, it really did not take a long time to do, I had it done! There was some junk mail in there. Not sure how they got in there, but I threw them in the recycling. Now, it's done!

Very neat. I feel a lot better now I know all our important stuff WILL be safe.

Now it can be shut tight!

Yay!
